What is the darkside of the Force to you?

Some believe the darkside is merely a point of view
taken of the Force, others believe it is a behavior particular to
the Force.

What do you believe?

I view the Dark Side is something that is a combination of actions and state of mind.
In my opinion true purveyors of the Dark Side only care about themselves and will act only for their own benefit, helping others only if it helps them moreso.
However, there must be a combination of it for them to truely be purveyors of the Dark SIde.
For example, if someone talks to someone else acting evil and only caring for themselves, but on the inside their conscience is telling them it is wrong and they feel bad for it then they cannot truely be a bad person.
I know this sounds the ramblings of a madman but in my head it makes sense >.<

No, you are fine.

May I ask you though, can an individual pursue her self-interest and
avoid evil too? Also, can this individual be selfish and, yet,
help her friends, family, and neighbors? Moreover, what would you
describe as an act of evil?

Eye don't think the Force has sides so much as it has 2 different yet complimentary polarities of the one.

Calling these polarities the "Dark Side" and the "Light Side" is appropriate yet decieving because of the perception of most people that DARK = EVIL. Nothing could be further from the truth. Without dark there could be no light, without up, no down, without left, no right. It may seem at times that the Force has an "Evil side" to it, when we witness mass destruction (cylcones, hurricanes, tidal waves, earthquakes etc.) but as we know destruction is neccessary for there to be creation. We only perceive this to be "evil" because of the our negative perception of death....ah but once again - without death, no life. We have a tendancy to observe the duality of reality and label one of them good and one of them evil, hence the unbalanced state of affairs the world currently finds itself in.

What of the Sith then? Coninciding with my foundation in spirituality, that is Kamitic (Ancient Egyptian) Spirituality, Sith is very similar to SETH, which is the greek translation of the Kamitic Neter (so-called god) SET. SET, the brother of the AUSAR (godman on earth), represents the Animal spirit in man, which, when not under the power of the Divine Spirit, wreaks havoc on ones Spirit and on earth. They care nothing of truth and are very clever with words, tend towards the polarity of destruction thinking that out of it will come creation, albeit for themselves, but in reality as they destroy others they destroy their own Spirit.

These SITH or SETIANS are what most think of when they think of the Dark Side, but in reality they have nothing to do with the true nature of the Force, they are unique in nature as there is nothing else in nature that acts the way they do. They are a product born of free-will which only we humans have.
